Brian Terrell founded GPL Technologies in 2003 and has guided its development as a leading independent provider of IT solutions to the media and entertainment industry. Today, Brian focuses on the company’s strategic direction, industry leadership, innovation and improving customer experience. He also engages directly with customers and technology partners throughout the country and the world.
A gifted entrepreneur and business strategist, Brian has focused on the technology, security and infrastructure needs of large and small companies and organizations throughout his career. Prior to founding GPL, he managed architecture, network and security systems for government agencies at the local, state and international level
Jason Blum
CTO GPL Technologies
Jason Blum is responsible for guiding both VFXnow and GPL’s technology strategy, including the development of next generation solutions to meet its customers’ needs in the areas of infrastructure, networking, media production and media management. He also leads the company’s engineering team, oversees human resources, and manages internal and back-office operations.
Jason is a talented technologist, writer and media production specialist, with more than 25 years of experience in designing, deploying and supporting integrated systems for organizations ranging from boutiques and non-profits to Fortune 500 companies. Prior to joining GPL in 2010, he served as CTO of Miracle Data Corporation, a Southern Californiabased managed services specialist. His background also includes five years as a systems administrator with Intel.
Additionally, Jason is an experienced music producer and mastering engineer with more than 40 original musical releases and official remixes for major label talent. He was co-founder of the electronic music group Deepsky and an editor at large for Future Music Magazine.
J Roen
Director of HaaS, VFXNow
J Roen is an experienced technology professional with a diversified focus in the M&E space effectively supporting, engineering, and providing leadership to a vast range of creative clientele. Working from production to post, J has paced through reality, game shows, short and long form workflows, design and VFX, creative advertising and rental services with a strong customer facing approach. As Director of HaaS, J leads VFXnow with an effort to help unleash creativity using the latest and greatest technology provided as a service.
